We're delighted to once again be screening films as part of the Purbeck Film Festival.

Elena is a contemporary dancer, instructor and choreographer. While teaching a class for deaf youths she meets Dovydas a sign language interpreter. The pair are immediately drawn towards each other, but as their friendship rapidly progresses towards romance his asexuality begins to become a stumbling block. Can their relationship overcome this hurdle? Slow lives up to its name but it�s the deliberately pedestrian pacing which makes it so highly absorbing. The movement of Slow allows us to experience the highs, the lows, the ups and downs, in a wonderfully intimate way. Slow is a persuasive meditation on modern romance. There are some beautiful scenes where communication is subtly conveyed without words.
